Industrial Land and Building sold in West Cumbria

The sale of 1.8 acres of development land comprising a partly constructed unit of c.20,000 sq ft has formally completed at Whitehaven Commercial Park, Moresby in west Cumbria.

The sale concludes another successful disposal for Walton Goodland and a unique one at that. Having acquired the freehold land some years ago, our client commenced ground works and construction on a speculative basis during the course of the past year with the aim of then offering upto 3nr units to let on completion. However, with a limited supply of new build industrial units of this size and height in the area a decision was made to sell the land and building on an unconditional basis following receipt of an offer from an investor outside the region with a specific requirement.

The purchaser will now undertake works to complete the building having agreed a back-to-back pre-letting with a tenant. This further supports the growth of Whitehaven Commercial Park which has seen various new development in recent years.
